Meet Reverend Ida Moss

Rev. Ida Moss

When you look at the many awards that Rev. Moss has received over the years, one truth stands out above all others – God is using her in powerful ways! She is the founder of Greater Works Christian Church in Suitland, Maryland.

Of special note is the work that Rev. Moss has done to intervene in the lives of at-risk young adults, drug dealers, and former gang members. She started a faith-based program where almost 50 of these vulnerable young adults received vocational training, life skills training, spiritual development, and ongoing job placement assistance. Through the efforts of Rev. Moss, and the enabling work of the Holy Spirit, many of these young adults exhibited radical transformation. They continue to be productive members of society – working in good paying jobs and earning salaries far above minimum wage.

Rev. Moss has received numerous awards from city agencies for her work. She has been featured in newspaper articles, and the story of her ministry to at-risk young adults was featured in the book by Lynn Wilford Scarborough entitled, “Spiritual Moms.” She is recognized as a business professional who gives back to the community.

Reverend Moss has a Master’s Degree in Theology from Regent University School of Divinity in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She also has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan.

Reverend Moss is a dynamic and gifted minister of the Gospel. She is on a mission: To change the trajectory of at-risk young adults; and raise disciples who will make a visible and radical difference in today’s world!
